Tournament data stays in this browser
BracketMetrik stores tournament names, participants, settings, matches, results, notes, and action history in IndexedDB in the browser you use. The current application has no account system, cloud tournament storage, server database, public sharing, or collaboration service.
JSON backup files
When you export a backup, your browser creates a JSON file for you to save. When you choose a backup to import, the application reads and validates that file in your browser. You decide where downloaded files are stored and which files you later select for import.
Cookies, advertising verification, and network requests
BracketMetrik publishes a Google AdSense account ownership meta tag and an authorized-seller ads.txt record so Google can verify the site. The current application does not load the AdSense advertising script, serve ads, set advertising cookies, or include analytics. Normal product use does not send tournament data to Google, a BracketMetrik account, or a cloud database. The service still has to deliver site resources over the web, so a hosting or CDN provider may process standard HTTP request information such as an IP address, request time, requested URL, and user-agent details in its operational logs.
Your storage and backup choices
Clearing site data, resetting browser storage, using a private browsing session, or losing the browser profile or device may delete locally saved tournaments. BracketMetrik cannot restore browser-local data from a server. Keep current JSON backups in a location you control when the information is important.
Policy changes and questions
This page will be updated when the application's verified data practices change, including before advertising services that use cookies or similar technologies are enabled. A verified public privacy contact is not currently published. Do not send sensitive information to unverified addresses claiming to represent BracketMetrik.
